Cambodia Casinos

There is a captivating history to the Cambodia gambling dens that lie just across the dividing line from next door Thailand, where casino gambling is illegal. Eight gambling dens are situated in a relatively tiny location in the metropolis of Poipet in Cambodia. This collection of Cambodia gambling halls is in an excellent area, a 3 to 4 hour trip from Bangkok and Macao, the two most popular gambling locations in Asia. Cambodia casinos do a thriving business with Thai workers and travelers from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with just a few Westerners. The astonishing capital acquired from the casinos ranges from 7.5 million dollars to over 12.5 million, and there are a few restrictions requirements for gambling den ownership. Ownership is required to be mainly Thai; still, funding sources are cryptic. The borders are officially open from 09:00 to 1700, and despite the fact visas are supposedly needed to cross, there are means around this, as is correct of most borders.

The 1st Cambodia casinos premiered in Phnom Penh in 1994, but were forced to close in 1998, leaving only one gambling den in the capital, the Naga Resort. The Naga, an anchored barge gambling hall, features 150 one armed bandits and 60 tables. The Naga casino is open all day and night with 42 tables of mini-baccarat banque, 4 tables of blackjack, 10 of roulette, two of Caribbean Stud Poker, and one each of Pai-Gow and Tai-Sai.

The 1st gambling den in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, premiered in 1999 and the Golden Crown before long followed. There are 150 slot machine games and 5 tables at the Golden Crown and 104 slot machine games and sixty eight table games at the Holiday Palace. The latest Holiday Palace Casino and Resort contains 300 one armed bandits and seventy tables and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has one hundred and sixty six slot machine games and ninety six gaming tables, including eighty seven baccarat chemin de fer (the most popular game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. In addition, there is the Casino Tropicana, with 135 slots and sixty six of the common tables, as well as a single table of Casino Stud Poker. One more of the eight casinos in Poipet, again in a hotel, is the Princess Casino with one hundred and sixty six slot machines and ninety seven table games. The Star Vegas Casino is part of a multinational vacation and hotel building that features numerous amenities accompanying the gambling den, which contains ten thousand sq.ft. of 130 slot machines and 88 table games.
